PROJECT of SOUTH AFRICA



Economics:
South Africa is the first economy of Africa. It represents one important role to develop the area. The South African economy has a large amount of national capital, in close relation to the global economic grids.
Their coin is the Rand. Some other countries use this coin as well.

The Johannesburg Stock exchange is the largest one in Africa.
South Africa has got an important area of mine, the most important area of coal and minerals and precious metals such as diamonds, gold and platinum. It is one of the countries with most reserve and another richness.

Languages:

The eleven official languages of South Africa are:
Afrikaans, English, Ndebele, Northern Sotho, Sotho, Suazi, Tsonga, Tswana, Venda, Xhosa, Zulú.
English is only the sixth language most spoken.



Culture:
In South Africa, we didn't find a unique culture but there is a diversity of cultures that have enriched the music, art and cooking. The country's racial variety is wide. In the early twentieth century 60% of the population were black, 30% white and the rest mostly mixed people and Asian. The predominant religion is Christianity: 55% of the Protestant population, 9% Catholic. The remaining inhabitants are Hindu, Muslim or from other faiths.
