PROJECT of SOUTH AFRICA

Economics:

South Africa is the first economy of Africa. It represents one important role to develop the area. The South African economy has a large amount of national capital, in close relation to the global economic grids.

Their coin is the Rand. Some other countries use this coin as well.

The Johannesburg Stock exchange is the largest one in Africa.

South Africa has got an important area of mine, the most important area of coal and minerals and precious metals such as diamonds, gold and platinum. It is one of the countries with most reserve and another richness.

Languages:

The eleven official languages of South Africa are:

Afrikaans, English, Ndebele, Northern Sotho, Sotho, Suazi, Tsonga, Tswana, Venda, Xhosa, Zulú.

English is only the sixth language most spoken.

Culture:

In South Africa, we didn't find a unique culture but there is a diversity of cultures that have enriched the music, art and cooking. The country's racial variety is wide. In the early twentieth century 60% of the population were black, 30% white and the rest mostly mixed people and Asian. The predominant religion is Christianity: 55% of the Protestant population, 9% Catholic. The remaining inhabitants are Hindu, Muslim or from other faiths.

HACHIKO

Hachiko at 2 months of age was sent to the teacher's home. The teacher took him to his house and he proved to be the owner of an elegant and welcoming. The dog, in turn adored him. Hachiko not accompanied him to college. But what he did was leave the house every morning with the teacher and and accompany him to the station when its owner took the train Hachiko was sitting in the small square and its owner was waiting there to keep them at work returning in the afternoon. One tragedy erupted on the night of May 21. The health teacher was not very good in those days and suddenly had a heart attack at the university. He died before he could return home. Hachiko waited in front of the station. The news was known all over the city. Many people immediately thought of the poor dog who had accompanied him every day. Several had the same attitude and went to the small square to convince the dog to return home. The next morning, Hachiko was seen in front of the estación.Siguio there day after day. Days turned into weeks, months and years, however, the dog went every morning to the station, awaiting the return of his master. Not take into account climatic conditions, rain, sun, wind and snow did not stop his daily pilgrimage to meet his love, loyalty to his human friend never died. The loyalty shown by Hachiko had a great effect among the Japanese. He became a hero.

 The inhabitants of Shibuya hired a sculptor to make a statue in honor of Hachiko. The bronze statue was placed in front of the station. A year later. Hachiko died at the foot of his own statue because of his age, but that did not stop its history and the statue became famous throughout Japan. Hachiko came every day during the ten years he survived.
